Under specific operating and regeneration conditions, this activated alumina desiccant achieves a drying depth of up to a dew point temperature of -70°C or lower. It can be used as a defluorination agent for high-fluoride drinking water (with high defluorination capacity), a defluorination agent for circulating alkanes in alkylbenzene production, an acid-removing and regenerating agent for transformer oil, and for gas drying in the oxygen production, textile, and electronics industries, as well as for drying instrument air in automation systems. It is also used as a desiccant and purifier in the fertilizer and petrochemical industries (with a dew point as low as -40°C), and in air separation processes where the dew point can reach -55°C via pressure swing adsorption (PSA). It is a highly efficient desiccant for deep drying of trace moisture. It is particularly suitable for heatless regeneration systems.
